Inspection Technology

Solid State magnetic Transducers scan the pipe for defects located on pipe ID, O.D and within pipe body wall and covers 100% of pipe OD. This model uses 100% solid state Hall sensor with complete circumferential Hall sensor coverage for both transverse fatigue cracking and localized wall loss detection. Whereas other systems use search coils in the inspection shoes. The search coils are very insensitive to small fatigue cracks or sharp pits and are also not capable of localized wall loss detection. The  Artist -2 full contact sensors detects localized wall loss and smaller pits.

On site Equipment Calibration

Before commencement of job at Rig the equipment is calibrated daily. Its on board diagnostic system can perform dynamic tests on magnetizing coils and buggy drive unit. These tests help to evaluate if the MPS (Mobile Power Supply) unit, Mag Coil and Drive unit are working within acceptable limits.
